Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman
Position Overview
The Steel Fabrication Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in steel fabrication, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety regulations in the shop.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Train and mentor shop staff on fabrication techniques and best practices.
- Maintain inventory of materials and tools, and coordinate procurement as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Foreman in steel fabrication or a related field.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a fabrication environment.
